Our brand
JOËLETTE AND CO
Joëlette And Co by Ferriol-Matrat is a range of sport and leisure wheelchair adapted to people with a disability, manufactured since 1849 by the Ferriol-Matrat company. Our outdoor wheelchair range is patented and designed in our workshop in France. With our own design office, we are constantly developing our products to offer the best possible experience to our users.
Joëlette is sold in more than 26 countries, to associations, natural parks, alpine clubs, public authorities and private individuals so that the excursion is a simple pleasure accessible to all. We are proud to be represented on the marathon of Singapore, Hong Kong, Paris, Rome, Montreal etc. and that teams are climbing such beautiful places as Machu Pichu, Kilimandjaro or Nepal!
A HUMAN AND INDUSTRIAL ADVENTURE
The Joëlette was born from a human adventure: to make nature sports and wide-open spaces accessible to all!
In 1987, Joël CLAUDEL, a mountain guide, created the first model of Joëlette for his nephew suffering from muscular dystrophy, who thus discovered the paths of Reunion Island, then those of the Atlas Mountains in Morocco. Touched by this story, in 2006, Pierre Ferriol, a friend of Joël’s, decided to put his industrial know-how at the service of the promotion of sport-leisure for people with reduced mobility. Thanks to the work of the technical team, the ergonomics, weight, comfort and handling of the Joëlette have been improved. Today, as an exclusive manufacturer throughout the world, we continue to grow and develop our range.
